When hiking the couple hours along the majestic Highland Amazon of Peru through the Forest of Yumbilla, you will find yourself crossing paths with two waterfalls; Medio Cero and Catarata Cristal. These towering waterfalls rise over 500m with Catarata Cristal consisting of 3 cascading drops.

Waterfalls are already such a splendor to view, what is it about water falling off the side of a mountain or cliff that is so captivating to us. My favorite part is the growing anticipation that accompanies a foreshadow of waterfalls in the form of sound that gets louder and louder as you get closer and closer, until the sound becomes a brilliant cacophony that splashes you in the face.
